Remember The Summer

I ache for real Spring weather. I want to walk on the beach with my 3 Grandbabes. Last year it was just Bee and I. I'm frustrated with our current temperatures. I couldn't sleep tonight. It's 5:15 am and I'm still awake. I'm working on my novel (final edit) and sketching the illustrations that will go with it. I'm so happy that my Mom crocheted the cozy turquoise throw for my shoulders. It's warming me as I write this. She made it for my office. Isn't that sweet? Our warm season in this part of Canada is so short, we need to soak it up as much as possible. Do you know that we have had cool weather here since November 15, 2008. Enough already! Now that it is May - Happy May Day everyone! - I long for hot days of Summers past - remember my e-zine? I had almost forgot that I even put this together. Can you imagine? It's just that my mind is constantly moving, thinking, creating, dreaming 'forward' that I do leave my past work behind.....I also noticed that one of my photographs in the e-zine is now for sale in my new Etsy store. Cote de Texas, OOMBBF

Oh look who's at the blog anniversary party. Dora's father. In a dress. Cool. And as you all know I adore robins' eggs, so much so, that I use the term frequently to describe things I really, really like. Joni is my little robin's egg. She's OOMBBF. One of my best blogging friends. (A bit different than BPTOT, Best Political Team on Television, CNN)

Be sure to visit Joni today because it is her 1st Blog Anniversary too! She's really famous, but approachable. It hasn't gone to her head at all.

Poor birdie. Couldn't come to the celebration. Hatched and tucked away in a nest.

Kettle's On. Coffee's Ready. 1 Lump or 2?

Hey! How are you? Come in. Come in. How was your flight? Good. Good. You must be tired. Here, let me take your bags. Don't take your shoes off. Come in. Come in. Here, a big comfy chair for you. Let me slide that ottoman under your feet. Now....cream in your coffee? I took the liberty of preparing some tea as well and there's some fresh bottled water too. Alright. I know an e-zine can't replace a real magazine. Yes, I love the feel of a new issue in my hand. The scent of the ink against my face. The rise of the paper. The glossy texture of the front cover. The sound of the pages as I flip them. I know. I know. But until I can print my very own issue or get asked to participate in another one, here is my 'Summer'. I'm so glad you came to celebrate my blog's first anniversary. Without you, I would be all alone out there. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

I got my private label water done by this company. Have I told you that I also had business cards made to hand out to people when I'm out and about? Ya, they really do work when you are about to get kicked out of somewhere for taking photos. Somehow, those little cards give a blog credibility. And, even more exciting - I'm designing a Liberty Post Press Pass (LPPP or Elle Triple Pea) to wear. Then I will look totally head to toe official. (We are a vital part of the media now. Peas in a pod. Oh yes we are.)

How is your coffee? More? Ahhh..you need a nap. Listen. I'll just go check my blog and you relax and close your eyes. I'll wake you up in an hour or so. Gee, I hope our other friends out there can share my e-zine with their readers. Do you think they will? Awesome.

Enjoy My 1st E-Zine

Click on OPEN PUBLICATION (the baby blue button) to turn the pages. It's small this time (16 pages), but it's mighty! I'm quite proud of it! Hope you like it too! You can also press the 'full screen' icon to see it much larger. Liberty Post xo

Who it this Liberty Post Editor?

I'm a Canadian girl. Born in the Nation's Capitol, Ottawa & raised in Toronto & Montreal. I live on the turquoise shores of Wasaga Beach, Ontario. It's the longest fresh water beach in the world. You'd love it here. I'm a big girl now with 4 children and one spunky Granddaughter. Some of you may wonder why my header is 'American' looking. I am more interested in the symbol of Liberty than the country she lives in. (Although the U.S.A. is my neighbour and friend.) Freedom of expression. Society. Culture. Business. Design. Creativity. Writing. Photography. I share very random images and ideas on Liberty Post. I coined this my 'Gallery of Goods'. (Please feel free to dig around a bit in my catagories and archives. It's like a buffet. A little something for everyone.) I am astounded by the amount of people from all over the world who read my blog every day. I am so very grateful that you find it interesting. I appreciate all your comments and I get my bucket filled each morning by taking my blog tour over strong coffee. (You'll find all those links to incredible blogs in my right side bar.) I thank you for inspiring me.

Blame it on the sunshine streaming through my blinds onto my desk, but I have an itch to produce and publish a special e-zine. This will be a collaborative project. I hope you will join me and many others to create this 'Summer' issue.

I will publish it online from my Liberty Post blog on my birthday in June. (The 19th). You will be able to download it or print it from there. Complimentary of course.

If you would like to participate, please send up to 3 high-res. jpeg's and up to 200 words to describe your contribution. Also include your name, title, business, brief bio, contact info and blog & websites. Sorry, there is no 'pay' to 'play', but I can promise you lots of blog press, online buzz & publicity and micro-celebrity status!
