The Love & Care of Tea

I think the majority of us take our food and the source of our foods for granted. (I know I do, but I'm really working on changing that.) Case in point. Our tea. (did you know that tea is the most consumed beverage in the world after water?...I didn't know that until recently...and hey, I didn't know that 'goat' was the most consumed meat in the world until I watched Oprah last week...Food Inc. documentary) But look at these photographs of loose tea. Examine the detail and glorious colours of the fresh ingredients. These teas come all the way from around the world, lovingly, carefully harvested, rolled, blended, shipped, packaged.....what a process and journey! How can this lovely plant become our lovely cup of serenity? Little bags of 'art'. (place your mouse over each picture to see the name of each loose tea blend) Truly sippy good. Amazing isn't it? (you may purchase your tea from my company here.) LPxo

My New Teapreneur Business Postcard

I love a larger business card. Don't you think a postcard is more substantial? - can be pinned on a bulletin board, framed, layered on a fridge (if you do that), used as a bookmark, scrapbooked....I decided to have fun with this card. Tea was discovered in 2737 BC China and I love the Cinderella-esque look of it! I like how it tells a story....I'm bringing the tea house to you! I'm galloping your fine loose tea selections to your home! Fun! More views here and check out the superior snow cap green tea. Luscious.
***Dear Readers, Some of you may be wondering about my new venture. Why Tea? Why Now? Here's why.

Your Morning of Contemplation

At the world's most beautiful plantations. Tea plantations. Here is the exercise this morning. Steep a cup of tea. Click here. Go full screen if you know how. Sip your tea. Lose yourself in peaceful contemplation. Plan your day. Plan your way. There is magic in the photographs; a secret power to de-stress and transform your mindset. Beautiful isn't a big enough word to describe these landscapes. What words would you use? Sippy. LPxo

Trademarked, Registered and Copywritten
Sometimes it takes a while. Half a lifetime. To discover. What your purpose is. What floats your boat. (gosh that's cliche) I think the process of elimination is a very good strategy. Try this. Don't like it? Nope. Fine then. What next? Try that. Don't like it? Nope. No worries. What next? Try this. Like it? Kinda. O.K. What next? Try this and this and this and this. (ignore the snickering in the background. their opinions do not - I repeat - do not count in this process) Like any of those? Not really. Alright. What next? Try this. Love it? Ah huh. Pardon. Ya. Would you mind speaking up a little bit. Yes. I said 'yes' I love it. Well then. That wasn't so bad was it. Good. Trademarked, registered and copywritten.

REuse Those Textiles

Suddenly and swiftly; quite without warning - so quick that it is actually frightening me; I've fallen in love with textiles. In particular - used, aged, frayed, worn, torn, faded and forgotten textiles. Cigarette burns and coffee spots. Tea stains and mustard blotches. I love the textile artists (geniuses) who take these sad, lonely fabrics to make them 'of importance again'. Their shoulders are back and their head held high. A new 'design' life. I've also found a wonderful textile blog called Fibercopia and blog post about London's new tartan.....does your city have a tartan?Tuesday, 26 January 2010
Host A Steeped Tea Party

It has been a while since I have felt this excited about a NEW business venture. (Don't worry, blogging is in my blood...running through my veins...I'm not going anywhere. Hugs.) I have been researching trends and strong industries. Of course Health and Wellness is one of them, entertaining at home, civilized domestic arts are making a comeback; home based business - people looking for a bit of extra money part time. All this leads me to a wonderful company - and all Canadian too! A great friend of mine called me out of the blue yesterday and asked me if I'd be interested in this (truly) ground floor opportunity. The company is brand, brand, brand new. I just knew it was meant to be. It felt right for me. PLUS! The tea industry is B-O-O-M-I-N-G (Starbucks is on that bandwagon now too) and I'll be part of the momentum and wave of success. (and you could be too....if you live in Canada) The company is Steeped Tea.
Allow me to introduce you, your friends and family to a truly "Steeped" experience. At Steeped Tea Parties, I do all the planning and bring the party to your home. I go to great lengths to personalize each party and pride myself on ensuring that you have a wonderful experience. A complete "Steeped" Party Package, brought to your home includes: Tea Consultation prior to event (½ hour). Tea pots. Half price items with every $250 in sales. 3 teas for sampling at your party, chosen by the hostess at the consultation.
I am also looking for professionals to become Steeped Tea Consultants across Canada. Please let me know if you think you might be interested in this lovely & timely 'tea' business. If yes, (wonderful!) - Let me know so we may set up a telephone call to further discuss your future success. Please email your contact information to me at pattifriday(at)hotmail.com. As a leader at Steeped Tea I will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the ambitious members on my team. I look forward to hearing back from all you CANADIANS out there!
