REuse Those Textiles

Suddenly and swiftly; quite without warning - so quick that it is actually frightening me; I've fallen in love with textiles. In particular - used, aged, frayed, worn, torn, faded and forgotten textiles. Cigarette burns and coffee spots. Tea stains and mustard blotches. I love the textile artists (geniuses) who take these sad, lonely fabrics to make them 'of importance again'. Their shoulders are back and their head held high. A new 'design' life. I've also found a wonderful textile blog called Fibercopia and blog post about London's new tartan.....does your city have a tartan?

How strange, those burns look like eyelets or something.
Be not afraid.
I think we're normal !

Enjoyed your post. Immediately had to think of Dutch Fashion Designer Jan Taminiau. He reuses old linen mailbags and makes them into jackets. Even our princess Maxima has been spotted in one of his recycled jackets! Mariska
