Imagine getting ready to skate for your country in your own country. Imagine being excited that your parents finally arrive in Vancouver to cheer you on. Imagine that your Mother has a heart attack in the hotel room and dies. Imagine being strong enough to skate in memory of your biggest fan and loving parent. This my friends, is Joannie Rochette.

I have no words for Canada's sweetheart. I will say though that she is beyond brave and my thoughts are with her and her family.
My heart goes out to this brave young woman who is finding the courage and the strength to work through her grief the only way she knows how at the moment.....to skate. We embrace you and love you Joannie.
