"We celebrated by gathering for brunch, nothing too fancy, no elaborate tablescape, just good food shared with the people we love most." - Life in Red Shoes
This is a quote that oozes 'get real'. I have been thinking about all these faux appearances the world of people tries to uphold - keeping up - wracking up - wrapping up - faking up - for what? To impress whom? For what purpose? Ego? Position? Class? Advancement? Recognition? Press? Traffic? Rankings? Promotion? Editorial? Revenge?
What is it all for? Let's just gather for brunch, nothing too fancy, no elaborate tablescape, just good food shared with the people we love most. Let's get real.

100% with you.
hell yes! I wholeheartedly agree with you! (btw, love your blog header ... very saucy! ) ;)
Libby, it's all about simplicity.
Our loved ones want our company, our relaxed, un-rushed, de-stressed, loving company.
Again, thanks for the mention.
