JFK Jr. Can It Be 10 Years?

Since you tragically died. It feels like yesterday. (Sasha Chermayeff shared her private collection of photos, letters and memories of JFK Jr. with People Magazine)

Way too soon.
It would be wonderful to know what he would have been doing now.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. I guess my claim to fame is that they were cremated in my town in the middle of the night. It was all very hush, hush. Of course, can you imagine the paparazzi scrum if anyone had known? Very sad.

This is a thought-provoking post. Credit should be given to John Jr.'s best friend who took all the photos you posted.

No way it's been that long, it does seem like it! I remember the weekend like it was yesterday, the sort of cloud like feeling overcame you, much like when Princess Diana was gone, you heard the t.v. but you did not want to believe it! Day by day went by & you hoped they would be found, inevitably they were and it was too soon and they were so young.
Great post!

Joni is right....a wonderful, heartbreaking book by Carole Radziwill...so many of us grew up with the Kennedy family through the media...we have grieved each devastating loss as though it were our own family member...I don't think I will EVER stop thinking about what might have been....
Lovely post in tribute.

I posted on this yesterday as well as I just couldn't believe it has already been 10 years. You found some great, candid photos!

Thank you Anon for bringing this 'credit' element to my attention. As always, I did actually have a link to the photographer, her name and the People Mag website. Thanks.

I really feel as though the course of history changed. I believe he would have made a wonderful President and father to more gorgeous Kennedy children. And I would have loved to photograph him.
