“I’m ready to be educated.” - President Obama

There are many things I love about President Obama. One of the top items on the list is that he is the type of person that I call 'teachable' and I say that with overflowing respect. I believe all of us should remain 'teachable'; open to learning new things, concepts, realities - even those who are 'teachers' remain the most 'teachable'. Educators love learning. President Obama is cool (and an exceptional role model) because he is an example of a leader who is humble and open to fresh ideas (and openly admits it, asking for more information) - Like from Ms. Waters whose life-long philosophy is that: Food should be local, seasonal, and organic; in homes and in schools, people should come together at the table; the act of eating is an everyday expression of our most deeply held values. Waters recalls his (President Obama's) exact words: “I’m ready to be educated.” She went back to the restaurant, gathered every book about food she had, and sent them to him. Can you imagine that!
