Marty's World Famous Cookbook, Secrets from the Muskoka Landmark (Canada) is the absolute best book to give your hosts or loved ones this festive year. I know, I know, I'm bias. I've been to this delectable destination bakery; the air sifted with divine smells of sweet pastries and bluesy music thumping on the homey floors. I've slurped down the last gooey bite of a butter tart and kissed the fresh filling in a Big Ass Pie. I've watched tourists and locals alike peaking in the open window, nudging each other, 'That's him. That's Marty.'. I've seen Marty's bright, friendly smile - laughing with his customers, greeting some by name and hugging celebrities. I think women have a 'foodie' crush on him. (I liken him to a cuddly teddy bear) Plus, Liberty Post is one of his media mentions. (I'm gushing over that one)
Beyond all the hoopla though (his fame obviously rising around the world), is a cookbook with real ingredients any of us would have on hand. Unique and easy. No pretensions. Just good cooking and tender baking. Endearing paragraphs and glorious photography too.
Marty is the next rising food star. This gift is one your friends will love!
