Wow, I can't tell you how excited I am to be considered a smarty pants. But, technically I was wrong. I said it was the drummers and these guys are playing some kind of xylophone. I must have left the room when these guys came on.
Well, what can I say about how Canada should keep up with these Joneses? You shouldn't. You should just be your great Canadian selves.
Anyway, the last photo in the pictorial in the link says it all. The gigantic splash in Beijing belies the poverty and problems in the countryside. A ridiculous amount of resources were funneled into these games.
Canadians will put on a great show. I have no doubt.
