Maya Angelou and the Chicken Breast

"Maya! Grab the chicken breast out of the fridge." called Oprah

"Damn that Suzanne anyway." muttered Maya as she struggled to open the gigantic sub-zero.

"Hurry will you. Pulleeze." said Oprah from the yard.

"All great achievements require time." hushed Maya.

"They're waiting. Patiently waiting." said Oprah tapping her toe on the manicured grass.

" I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass. And that's just what the farmer's wife is doing." said Maya under her breath.

"They're still wayyyting." huffed Oprah.

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. I'm so glad Suzanne has that idea board above her computer. Darn it all anyway. Where's the darn chicken?" said Maya

"My word. Maya, you've gone and done it now. They've taken off." said Oprah as she walked into the kitchen.

"My life has been one great big joke, a dance that's walked a song that's spoke, I laugh so hard I almost choke when I think about myself." said Maya as she took a bite of the chicken breast. "Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with shades of deeper meaning. I must call that farmer's wife tomorrow morning and let her know that the goshdiggin' notes aren't worth a penny if she doesn't get them all into action."

"Who are you talking to?" asked Oprah

"Liberty Post readers who are reading about The Farmer's Wife's story inspiration board and why in god's name do you need chicken?" asked Maya.

"To train the dogs."

yeah, yeah, you picked the easy one. Try thinking up something about Inspirational Mold.

I can just imagine Maya and Oprah cranking at each other ~ "hurry up with that chicken!"

Now that is humorous and fun. I can't imagine it really happening, but that is why it is so much fun to read. Suzanne came up with a good one and you ran with it, Good job!!!
