Crochet Laptop Afghans

My Mom is a natural knitter, crochet gal. All round 'Needlearts Queen'. She could knit blindfolded. Her hands move swiftly and smoothly as the needles click and the yarn flows ever so gently through her fingers. My Mom is also a 'Big Giver'. Remember her gifts for Afghanistan? Well, she has just finished her new random act of kindness. Laptop Afghans for the elderly at our local home. These fit snugly onto their lap and cover parts of their legs; giving warmth and coziness - and hopefully nostalgic memories of being back in their own homes of years gone by. I am so proud of my Mom. Woolly Goodness.

Those are lovely. My step-mom is the same, her hands just fly and I love how she can watch TV without having to look at her knitting. Right now she's busy crocheting me a bedspread. I'll post it when it's done:)

What a clever idea and beautiful colors. No wonder you're so creative with a mom like that!

I love that, makes me feel a little guilty that I have a lap-top on my lap instead of knitting. Oh, wait...I don't know how to knit... ;D
