Chinese Food
The annual New Year's Day tradition in Canada....Chinese Food, delivered steaming hot with leaky honey garlic sauce soaking the bottom of the brown paper bag. Yes, this is what many Canadians will order later today. When do diets start?....well officially, January 2nd, especially if you want to indulge in mini corn on the cob and crunchy water chestnuts. And yes, there will be battles for the egg rolls and giggles over efforts to master chopsticks, only to toss them in the sink so you can use proper forks. It will cost a fortune, but gosh darn it, it's New Year's Day. By the way, I must confess...I couldn't wait for January 1st to order in, so I had a feast yesterday. I did save my cookie and I fully anticipate that my lucky message will say: 'You will discover new creative frontiers soon.' Won't that be something!

You are making me hungry (and that 2008 diet is supposed to be in progress). Happy New Year!
