Antique Olmsted Jewelry

Remember I was telling you about this? Well, guess what I had the luxury of photographing today. 150 year old family heirloom jewelry, that is normally 'safely' locked away, but that was allowed to come out and play in the sunshine for an hour. Brooch, bracelet & ring. I am even more excited because the secrets of the past are revealing themselves to me in the most intriguing ways. I did not see the engraving until I uploaded the shots to my laptop. I didn't know it came from the Olmsted's. Much of the surname spelling in our family tree was different. On documents, legal papers, letters and other items. Spelling mistakes. 3 different Olmsted's. Sometimes with an 'A', sometimes not. etc. I am digging deeper into the past and these discoveries have cast a spell on me. Aren't they lovely. More antique/vintage jewelry to come this week. If you click to enlarge the bottom photo, you'll see the engraving.

Melissa: Yes, such a treasure. One I will pass down to my daughters!

Jennifer: You are most welcome for the link. I find your creativity a 'powerhouse'. You have such a clean, graphic, sensuality about your work. Your company is going to be big, big, big. The NYC show will be huge for you. Good Luck.

Gillian: I'm researching with my Uncle. Well, actually he is doing most of the work. Hey, when is your next podcast coming out?

Hello Maryam: Yes, I suppose I could but I haven't asked my Mom! She loves to keep them tucked away and then goes and gets them every once and a while to admire them. Your photoshoot for Budget Travel looked amazing. I can't wait to see the March 08 issue!
