The Liberty Interview Intro: Sarah Ashley Longshore

NEW ORLEANS: LP - Longtime 'Anthro Girl' becomes Anthropoligie's inaugural furniture (and more) concept artist. Take a deep breath and digest this incredible story. Here is The Liberty Interview Intro: (the actual Liberty Interview soon!)
It happens this way. You travel the blog superhighway; watching your speed - ignoring all the restroom stop signs and healthy nourishment establishments along the way. Soon enough (feels like but a minute) you are in a new place with those 'new place' butterflies. (must share. must share. must share.) You've discovered a new talent, a new person, a new friend, a new provocateur, a new vision, a new bravery, a new Art Star. You know in your gut that you must find a way to invest in her work. Collect her creativity. Own a piece of this artist's adventure. This is how it happened. How I discovered Sarah Ashley Longshore. I met her initially through the lovely Bayou Contessa. You may already be acquainted with Ms. Longshore. Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz and Director, Paul Weitz certainly are. And so is Anthropologie, for they have struck a deal with SAL to be their new artist. (We love Anthropologie!!!) (chairs, beauty packaging and more) I've spent some time on Sarah's website. I've searched Google and blogs. I have, quite frankly, stalked her - trying to learn as much about her as I possibly could. She is beyond an iron-clad definition. She is full of life; confident, boisterous, sassy, dramatic, courageous and like her work, colourful and glossy. I believe Sarah Ashley Longshore will be a mega-art-star for this and future generations. She defies all those conventional rules. She seems extremely comfortable promoting herself shamelessly. (take note) She vlogs. She pokes fun at many things. She smiles and chuckles and strikes poses - Posts all kinds of authentic photographs and laughs at the life she has developed for herself. (I might even go so far as to compare her to Madonna - reinventing and dashing cultural/societal restrictions.) She mocks popular culture. (Tweet with her here) She shares her innermost opinions and satirical (every changing?) stands within her work. She is at the point where 'if she paints you, your career will take off'. (or you'll know for sure that you're some type of celebrity.) Maybe some day she'll paint a Blogebrity. (wouldn't that be something!) That's how famous Sarah Ashley Longshore is becoming (has become). She is comfortable in her own skin. She makes no apologies. She respects her own artistic integrity. (This is how she celebrates every art sale...are you sitting down?) She smokes and drinks and swears and sings and dances and doesn't shy away from life drawing or nudity. She is Kate Hepburn painting Audrey Hepburn.
