My Favorite Photograph

I've seen a lot of photographs. I bet you have too. But, when I asked myself 'what my favorite' one is, I did not hesitate. I love this image of Carole sitting in the window of Dean & Deluca in NYC. I actually think they should purchase it to use in their print ad campaign. Better yet, they could have a commercial built around it. To me, this is a very modern day Holly Golightly meets Hip Bistro meets Award-winning reportage meets Top Lifestyle shot - I don't even know who the photographer is. All I know is that I want to make it oversized and frame it for my studio so I never forget what I believe to be true for photographers everywhere: the whole point is to capture a flash 'authentic' second of life and this one certainly does. I want to step inside that flash second of life to smell the coffee, hear the muffled chatter, listen to the cash register, pick the brain of Carole - what is she thinking about at this very moment? (We should ask her.)
