So, we are sitting at '3' on the WHO pandemic alert chart. Not a '6' which would be tragic, but not a '1' either - where it should be. So heartbreaking to think of people dying of the flu.

I heard about this on NPR this morning, such a shame.
yep. And a nasty killer it is.
The scariest part of this, is that if it is a true pandemic, it will likely come in three waves...each one possibly more deadly than the other. I don't think this is going to "go away" as easily as some may think. There are actually four cases known in Nova Scotia as I type this. Scary, scary stuff.
I am very hopeful it will remain relatively mild in North America...
