The 2nd Commandment

Hug Schmug. I think it was brilliant. It's about time we respected this. Let's get real people. The Queen is human like you and I. Michelle is human like you and I. Let's be human. We need to touch each other (more). To hell with protocol. (leave it to an Obama to change 2,000 years of 'Royal Rules')

I disagree with you. The Queen is a Head of State, not someone's granny. She deserves the respect that goes with that position. Mrs. Obama overstepped protol, and I think it was patronizing and inappropriate.

Occasionally, people get a bit carried away when they meet the Queen, it happens is all.

Hmmm, not sure on this one....but the Queen touched Michelle first, soooooo.....I think the Queen looks like she needs some more affection and she's such a cute little thing!

Actually, if you look at the tape...Her Majesty made the first move. And this is a woman who does not waste a gesture. She knew what she was doing. I think she was making a statement about how she feels about these two. After all, she requested a private meeting with them, which was unusual. I say Bravo!! And I agree with The Queen!

there are things going on in the world that need media attention, and this is not one of them.

But that's no disrespecting your content my darling Liberty! You know i love your blog and what you post, I was actually referring to the first commenter's reaction. I'm all for hugs!!! One can never get enough of them.

While I'm here I've been meaning to tell you how much I'm loving your image headers lately - they are each so beautifully designed! I'm addicted to them - I love seeing what you come up with.

I truly don't see a problem with it - in fact, I think it's sweet, and an impressive gesture. I haven't seen the video clips, but from what I've read the Queen made the first gesture - was Michelle supposed to decline? If Her Majesty found it to be disrespectful, I have no doubt that she would have made her insult known!
