What Happened to Mackin Ink ?

One of my all-time favorite blogs is not allowing me access...arghh...does this mean I've been sent to the corner (for misbehaving?-say it ain't so) or have all of us been shut out. (tear) I love her writing. I adore her blog. Karey Mackin is a Midwestern girl living in the Middle East, with her busy husband and three lovely girlies, Lillie, Grae-Rose, and Esmé. She vaguely remembers a career in publishing and a few books she may have written, but is absolutely certain a previous lifetime was spent as a crow. Yes, she likes shiny things that much. A few other things you should know about Karey: she laughs at all the wrong moments, prefers recipes that only require two ingredients or less, and wears black pretty much all of the time. Except for that turquoise dress. See gobs of shiny objects mixed in with girlie fables from a not-so-far away land at her blog, mackin ink. I hope she is O.K.. Anyone know the scoop about our Jordan friend? Here is her Kirtsy feed.

karey m. wrote that after a 1 year run at blogging she was moving on, yes I share your grief. I only hope this means that she is putting her talents to good use elsewhere and we will see her name pop up soon. And just for the record, I also voted for your blog, it is hands down, In A League Of It's Own. Perhaps that's the problem, they need a new league!

You can still find her at

http://www.kirtsy.com/userrss.php?user=kareym&status=all

where she is the style editor (or something)you can comment there and keep in touch with her. I agree I miss her and her writing also. She always raised a smile. She posts some interesting stuff at kirtsy so try it.

I know. She was important to us, and then she was gone. Smart, funny and touching. I hope she reappears somewhere soon, people who crave self-expression can't remain silent too long.

i saw her goodbye note too and was sad - she had a unique style and interesting commentary. maybe the girlies did not want to be featured anymore or maybe it was simply time to move on to another form. i agree with corine, mackin ink will appear in some other form - the blog was up until a few days ago with her send-off message

OH NO! i'm sorry! nothing's wrong at all...i just like things neat and tidy and felt as though one year was just right.

and i just felt bad that no one was taking me off their blog rolls and thinking i was coming back...and then i tried to save or download or whatever the entire blog...and then i got scared that i would delete everything because my brain is not that big...and then i took the lazy route and just closed it up...and then i started getting lots and lots of emails about why i locked my favorite imaginary friends out...and then...and then...

ugh. i forgot what i was trying to tell you.

but i'm fine. all is well. i've actually been swimming and playing tennis a lot, which makes me sound like a total loser...but in february i'm going to start learning new tricks. with paper.

we shall see. i wish i had more exciting news to tell you...maybe someday! but not today. and probably not tomorrow...

xoxo and thanks for your mini worry!
