I read and pay attention to Buffett. I also read Thomas P. Barnett's book and read his blog daily. He's very prolific though and sometimes it's hard to keep up with the ton of content. He has the pulse of globalization and security issues.

Unfortunately for us the fall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was predicted over four years ago. Regulators were shocked at what was going on and sounding the alarm, but some in Congress were totally oblivious to the perils.
