YES!!!! I want to be taken as seriously as a powerful journalist. That's why I left the newspaper world. They didn't get it. They did not understand the nature of the beast and guess what? That newspaper, which once occupied a huge building complex is now housed in one teeny tiny office. They still don't get it. Blogs are not worthless but I will agree with that woman from Baylor about the snarkiness/nastiness. It drives me wild. I'm glad that at least one mega-blogger proves that you can be successful without being nasty. (The Pioneer Woman)
Perhaps I should send him a photo of the giant stack of unread magazines languishing in the corner of my living room. I'm finding blogs more amusing and often more informative than the mags, and they continue to pile up...unread. Next? No subscription renewals. He'll figure it out eventually.
