Coffee With Warren Buffett

I was lucky enough to have coffee with Warren Buffett. It wasn't a very long encounter; perhaps 20 minutes. (keep in mind his time is worth $700,000/hour). He was engaged in our conversation but he never took both eyes off the sheets of highlighted papers that the server continued to bring him. One after the other. He would glance at me, nod, sip, smile, nod and then braille the numbers on the page. The coffeehouse was busy, noisy. He had to ask me several times what my blog's name was, so I finally handed him my business card. He looked at it. No, he starred at it, for a long time. He shared with me that one does not require a fancy website to become rich, nor do they need the blessing of everyone around them; they only need be a visionary. (you know all that paint we creative types buy..he owns the company...check your undie label too..could be his.) Then he turned to me and asked, 'How much have you made so far?' I said bluntly and honestly, 'Not a dime.' Warren sighed, as if truly concerned, 'What else do you do?' And then I woke up. When I tell you that I was there, with him, sipping, rubbing shoulders...I mean it was so real, so vivid, so shocking, so heartbeats beside one another. What the heck did this dream mean?

I've never been any good with interpreting dreams. Maybe it just means....keep on working it. Warren is really a very fascinating guy. One of the major network luminaries was always dogging him for an interview. Warren tried ignoring the man and finally he said, "Honestly, I'm not very interesting, but you should interview my wife Suzie!!"

And that's what the guy did. He interviewed Suzie Buffet and she was an interesting and terrific person. Warren was right!

Unfortunately she has passed away. I wonder if they have part of the interview on You Tube.

Anyway...keep on workin' it.

I would take a dream like that quite seriously, believing there was a message in it or at least that it was meaningful.

Now, where is my favourite dream book when I want it?
