U.S. Extra Fancy

I learn something new every day. Three just today. My word. The first being that an apple a day does not keep the doctor away. My son who has just started his March break is sick with a nasty cold/cough. He is an avid apple eater. It's a ritual around our house. Every night at bed I cut up a Fuji apple for him. He munches away, sets the bowl on his bedside table and then turns out the light. The second thing I learned today was that the U.S. actually has a grade called 'Meets or Exceeds U.S. Extra Fancy'. Who decides such honours? Do they look at things and say, 'Boy, that sure is fancy?'. No one has called me about my blog yet. I'm going to call them (the U.S. government - anyone have that number?) and let them know that if they want 'fancy', this is it. The third thing I learned was that anyone can order one of those decadent apples from California. GotApples.com has signature Chocolate Caramel Fuji Apples featuring the most scrumptious toppings that ever hit your taste buds. Five different delicious toppings and two sizes. Now that's fancy. Stamp it.
