I have always maintained a creative morgue in my studio. I tear pages out of magazines; only the ones that truly get to me, tug at my heart, inspire me, remind me, catch my breath beautiful - all the things great images should do. I fill my binders (these are just my top 5 fav's) and I look through them often. One image can give me hundreds of clues, ideas and creative juice to work on a project. Do you have an inspiration book?

My blog was created for that purpose, but now it has become like the inside of my purse: too many pockets, nooks and crannies. I can't locate anything anymore. I wish I could have it all before my eyes at once like you do.
ever since i started school - i've been putting binders together... its mostly because of school projects...but i think i will keep them for reference and will just buy more and add to them. Great idea!

I have not done that yet - you have just inspired me to create mine. What a fabulous idea - so many things inspire me when I flip through my many magazines....I LOVE the one you have of JFK Jr and his mom in the ocean...I remember that one! Too bad we are not neighbors - I'd be coming over in the morning with a cup of coffee to browse your binders all day!! xo Sherri
I have 3 binders so far of catalogued inspirational pages and I have a mass of magazines I need to get through. What a fabulous post! It's nice to know I'm not crazy and other people actually do this.

Oh happy day, my sister teases me about my binders..so have a couple of friends. After reading your post and the comments I'm feelin' like one of the cool girls with binders...wahooo. Thank you!
I have been cutting and pasting things into a sketch book. That way I can draw along side of the things that inspire.
Thank you for all your comments! I am exhilarated knowing many of you are doing something similar. Oh, those creative types...glad we have eachother because others might not get 'it'.

i have an inspiration journal, but it's kind of a mess. lots of clippings, not enough tape! i have to get it under control because i love looking through it. xo
