RinkleBOOK vs Facebook

Liberty Trendspotting:

Filling in the Generation Gap - My Daughter (who is addicted to Facebook and can't imagine life without it) and my Dad (who is addicted to the internet and can't imagine why anyone would want to use Facebook)

In a wired world the generation gap seems to disappear or does it? The whole idea of Facebook has been challenged with a new blog called RinkleBOOK. What a spunky play on words. Geared towards the 55 plus crowd who really don't feel they have all that much to contribute to the younger Facebook, RinkleBOOK is a fun, comforting place to visit daily to find content that's a little more their speed and mindset.

I'm not knocking this demographic. My goodness, it's right around the corner for many boomers, myself included. I just think this is so sweet and ingenious. Their current post is about lazyness and we all know older people think the younger generation can be quite lazy at times. I find this blog quite comical. I get a real sense that the blogger will be poking fun at their collective state of mind. RinkleBOOK just started, but I think we should let all of our loyal parent readers know it's there waiting for them! Perhaps they will get great pleasure from over-the-hill topics and humor rather than beautiful bedrooms and fashion fixes.

Thanks for your words for RinkleBOOK. We can't do what Facebook does but we can have a little fun doing RinkleBOOK.
We need readers so thanks for your helpful plug.
By the way, I'm voting for your Blog as the best in North America.(that includes the USA, you know)

As someone who hates Facebook, I say we need more sites like RinkleBook!!!

The unbelievable minutiae some people put on their Facebook diary...do they really think anyone cares??
