Wish You Were Here

Ooops! What I meant to say was 'Wish I Was There'. I dug out one of my classic, graphic advertising glasses. Did you realize these are extremely hard to source? The word is out. This type of glassware is on the 'hot' list. It was a gorgeous July day today and nothing feels nicer than a fresh chilled drink with some crunchy Swedish crackers. Maine would be glorious right now. I've heard (and seen in the movies) that the state is known for its scenery — its jagged, mostly rocky coastline, its low, rolling mountains, and its heavily forested interior — as well as for its seafood cuisine, especially lobsters and clams. Sounds divine. Makes me nostalgic to rent 'On Golden Pond' and watch the prickly professor, Norman and his adoring wife, Ethel visit their summer cottage on a Maine lake. (The film was actually filmed in New Hampshire) Ah, Hepburn did all her own stunts during the entire shoot. Feisty ol' broad. America love. xo
