"If there is a more enchanting story than Alice in Wonderland, especially for the fashion community at large, we dare you to prove it. The Lewis Carroll-penned fantasy's wildly original world and iconic characters including a perpetually tardy, pocket watch-wearing White Rabbit, a hookah-smoking Caterpillar, and a shouty Queen of Hearts who's obsessed with the color red is so over-the-top outrageous, it's no wonder this trippy adventure resonates so deeply with designers. Simply put: the colorful epic epitomizes dramatic creativity at its very finest. And while Alice's influence is always present (who could forget Grace Coddington and Annie Leibovitz's breathtaking interpretation with Natalia Vodianova in the December 2003 issue of Vogue?), this season everyone is focusing on this fabulous tale anew, thanks to the impending release of Tim Burton's take on the iconic tale in Disney's Alice in Wonderland." - Who What Wear (they are currently channeling Alice in Wonderland )
I remember this layout well. I saved it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. And inspired.
I am never surprised that Bloggers have 'photographic' memories - I too, have boxes and binders of tearsheets and remember past editorial features! In fact, I can go to yard sales and rifle through boxfuls of old mags and I'll announce to my husband 'have it, had it, seen it...or oooh....need this one..!!!' He is always in disbelief! Cool and incredible...we are aren't we? !!!
ReplyDeleteCounting down the days until the movie is released here this weekend. We're so doing the 'family to the movies' thing. Congrats on the men's ice hockey gold. Our lives stopped here too! We were screaming for Canada... what nail biting extra time! A-M xx
